The Nexus is designed to be the "front door to Rice," strategically positioned at the Ion to facilitate engagement between the community, industry, startups, and investors with Rice University. Spanning 10,000 square feet across two floors, the Nexus offers a space to showcase Rice’s most innovative pursuits, from groundbreaking chemical reactors, through new medical devices, to digital art installations. It supports faculty and Rice-affiliated startups by providing essential laboratories and workspaces for new ventures to launch and work on technology commercialization. The Nexus is a crucial gathering point for early-stage investors, enhancing Houston’s entrepreneurial landscape and establishing itself as a central hub for innovation and collaboration.
